CHICAGO IL - VER is buying Fletchers film and digital camera rental business, the company said. The division willmaintain a separate identity from its parent company, VER said, including a different phone number, website, floor space and staff.
It will operate out of Fletchers existing locations in Chicago and New Orleans, where it expanded last year. The purchase does not include Fletcher Chicagos sports division, which will operate out of its location downtown until a pending relocation to the suburbs in 2014. - See more HERE
CHICAGO - IL Hoping to carry on the momentum of a uptick in Film and TV business, the summit will feature a number of prominent Chicago filmmakers, producers and casting agencies. There will be special panels to discuss a wide range of sujbects including; funding, producing, casting, distribution and more. The event will be on October 20, 2013 10AM to 6PM at the Chicago Cultural Center. Tickets are free but limited to the first 500 requests. You can read more about it HERE
DALLAS - TX MPS Stuidos provided camera support for the intriguing DOUBLE PLAY, a doc feature and Venice Film Festival winner that celebrates the collaboration of Texass own Richard Linklater and avant garde great James Benning.
The film was shot in Austin and directed by film journalist Gabe Klinger as his inaugural effort. Berndt Mader produced.
