He has launched a new website and it is looking good and you can check it out HERE Also he has launched a new blog series to keep us informed on all things related to video as a marketing tool. Now he is offering a small green screen he is calling Le Garage. It is a mini pre lit studio with a solid chroma key wall, broadcast cameras, teleprompter, skype interface mics and more. SAN FRANCISCO - CA Andres Lewis, owner and proprietor of The Prop House, has announced the merger with Prop City. He says that they are now the largest prop house in Northern California. They are still part of the prop coop, and remain one the go to place for props, in Northern California and remain an important part of the local production scene for film, video, photography and more.
SECAUCUS NJ ARRI CSC announced that Chris MacKarell has been appointed digital workflow manager. MacKarell will continue to oversee ARRI CSC’s digital workflow and on-set activities for New Jersey and Florida facilities, while also contributing to ARRI rental group product development and technical marketing.
MacKarell’s experience in digital media spans 15 years in the postproduction. Starting out as manager in media illusion support forAvid Technology, he then worked forNBC as senior Avid finishing editor. In 2010 he joined Deluxe where he managed special projects, rolled out infrastructure improvements and new workflow designs. As senior engineer/workflow architect for Technicolorhe then designed, tested and implemented project-specific workflows. MacKarell joined ARRI CSC in 2011 as digital workflow specialist.
CHICAGO IL - VER is buying Fletchers film and digital camera rental business, the company said. The division willmaintain a separate identity from its parent company, VER said, including a different phone number, website, floor space and staff.
It will operate out of Fletchers existing locations in Chicago and New Orleans, where it expanded last year. The purchase does not include Fletcher Chicagos sports division, which will operate out of its location downtown until a pending relocation to the suburbs in 2014. - See more HERE
CHICAGO - IL Hoping to carry on the momentum of a uptick in Film and TV business, the summit will feature a number of prominent Chicago filmmakers, producers and casting agencies. There will be special panels to discuss a wide range of sujbects including; funding, producing, casting, distribution and more. DALLAS - TX MPS Stuidos provided camera support for the intriguing DOUBLE PLAY, a doc feature and Venice Film Festival winner that celebrates the collaboration of Texass own Richard Linklater and avant garde great James Benning.
The film was shot in Austin and directed by film journalist Gabe Klinger as his inaugural effort. Berndt Mader produced.
